RISERVA DI FIZZANO
The Relais Riserva di Fizzano is a medieval “borgo” (hamlet), owned by the Rocca delle Macìe winery (www.roccadellemacie.com), which rises up on a hilltop in the heart of the Chianti Classico production zone, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Here guests can enjoy a vacation that places them in direct contact with the natural world, in every season: fall offers the warm colors and aromas of the harvest; winter is full of crystal-clear days and invigorating air; spring affords the opportunity to experience at first hand the glorious reawakening of nature; and, last but not least, summer offers wonderful breezes, a relaxed atmosphere, the joys of the swimming pool and the spectacle of the fireflies’ nocturnal illuminations.

All guests at Fizzano are invited on a guided tour of the Rocca delle Macìe winery, with tastings of their wines made there and the possibility to visit the olive-press where they produce one of Italy’s finest extra-virgin olive oils.

The complex has two stunning swimming pools with views over the vine-covered valley, where you can relax in the sun or under the parasols. Later on, towards dusk, you can sip a glass of wine as you look out towards the famous towers of San Gimignano. There is a play area for children, as well as large green spaces where they can run around and play safely. Mountain bikes are available for rides through the vineyards or alternatively you can follow one of the signposted treks that make their way through the Fizzano estate. You can enjoy wonderful summer evenings with dinner under the stars or attend one of our theme nights. The Culinary Institute of Tuscany
Since 1999, during the winter months, the Restaurant is open to the chefs of the Olive Garden Restaurant, a chain of Italian eateries in the United States, to allow them to take high-level cookery courses and uncover the secrets of Tuscany’s culture of gourmet food and wine.
